Privacy policy

Last updated:

AJAG is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect when you use this site, how it is processed, who may see it and the rights you hold under UK data protection law.

Who is responsible for your data

AJAG operates this information portal. We are the data controller for any personal information collected through ajag.co.uk. You can reach us at [email protected] with questions about how your data is handled or to exercise any of the rights set out below.

What reaches us

We collect information you provide directly — your email address and the content of any message you send through our contact form or to our inbox. We also collect technical data automatically: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time spent on them. Cookies placed by this site remember your preferences and help us understand which content is most useful.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not ask for sensitive personal data such as health records or financial account numbers.

Who else sees it

We share your data only with processors who help us run this site. Analytics providers process usage data to show us how the portal is used; hosting providers store the site's files and databases; email service providers handle messages sent to our inbox. All processors operate under contract and are required to protect your information in line with UK GDPR.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We will disclose information only if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of AJAG, our users or others.

Your UK GDPR rights

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to request its deletion in certain circumstances. You may also object to processing, request that we restrict it or ask for your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

How long it is kept

Email correspondence is retained for two years from the date of your last message, after which it is deleted. Technical logs and analytics data are kept for 12 months, then anonymised or removed. Cookies expire according to the timeframes set when they are placed — session cookies when you close your browser, persistent cookies after the period specified in our cookie policy.

Children

This site is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The revised version will be posted on this page with a note of when it was last updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

This is an information site. We do not sell goods or services.
